Overview
Anamur tour from Alanya is a cultural and historical tour. Anamur is a lovely city that is 120 km (east) away from Alanya near the Mediterranean sea. You will be amazed fantastic coastline of the Turkish Mediterranean during the journey by our comfortable bus to Anamur. The name of the city derives from the antique city Anamurium. It is also famous for its banana plantation in Turkey. We have two lovely visits in our tour program; First Anamerium antique city's ruins; The city was built on the most south of Turkey between 1th and 4h A.D centuries. It has got walls,3 baths, tombs, Amphitheater, and churches. The city is preserved enough.
The second place to visit is the Mamure castle which is 6 km east of Anamur town. The castle was built in the 3rd century to defend the city from the pirates and watch the commercial ships on the Mediterranean coast. It was restored many times and also given its name by Turks. The castle is surrounded by a moat. It has got 39 towers, bastions, a small mosque with a minaret, and a ruined Turkish bath and lighthouse.
Anamur tour from Alanya is not as popular as the other tours. However, it is still interesting for history and archeology lovers.
